Thomas P. Fitch

Thomas FitchMr. Fitch focuses his practice on commercial real estate and financing transactions and has extensive experience in a variety of complex acquisitions, sales, development, leasing and financing transactions. He has represented individuals and companies, both local and national, in acquisitions, development,  financing and sales of real estate holdings; acquisitions, financing and sales of operating businesses (both asset and entity structured); business entity formations and ongoing governance;  lease transactions (commercial, office and retail); and a broad spectrum of contract negotiations.

Mr. Fitch’s financing experience has included representing borrowers in both real estate secured and non-real estate secured financing transactions including, conventional mortgage loans, construction loans, lines of credit, Small Business Administration guaranteed business loans, Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac loans, CMBS loans , industrial development agency lease/leaseback and bond projects and 1031 tax deferred exchanges.

During a recent four year stretch alone, Mr. Fitch guided clients from initial negotiation stage through closing of real estate and financing transactions totaling in excess of $275 million. Representative transactions cover a broad range in size, from tens of thousands to tens of millions, including a $45 million multi-parcel acquisition in the Dallas/Fort Worth area.

Mr. Fitch’s leasing experience has included representing landlords and tenants in commercial, office and retail lease transactions ranging in size from hundreds of square feet to hundreds of thousands of square feet of space.

Mr. Fitch is also examining counsel to Chicago Title Insurance Company and Commonwealth Land Title Insurance Company and is a New York State Department of Financial Services Title Insurance Agent sublicense. As examining counsel, he analyzes and examines real estate titles, and regularly handles complex title insurance policies and related matters.

Mr. Fitch is a native Western New Yorker and currently resides in Clarence, New York with his wife and two daughters.
