James M. Phillips

James Phillips is an associate attorney at Zdarsky, Sawicki & Agostinelli, where he is a member of the firm’s Real Estate and Litigation Practice Groups. James represents individuals, businesses, and institutional clients in a broad range of real estate matters, including the acquisition, sale, leasing, and financing of commercial properties. He also regularly advises residential buyers and sellers, providing trusted counsel throughout all phases of the homebuying or selling process – from contract negotiation and due diligence to title clearance and closing.

In addition to his transactional work, James maintains an active commercial litigation practice. He handles disputes involving breach of contract, commercial leases, and real property claims.

James earned his J.D. from DePaul University College of Law, where he was inducted into The Order of Barristers and received the Benjamin Hooks Distinguished Public Service Award for his pro bono service.

He is admitted to practice in New York State and before the U.S. District and Bankruptcy Courts for the Western and Northern Districts of New York. Outside of the office, James enjoys traveling, skiing, hockey, and staying active through health and fitness.
